Sahitya Academy, Mangalore felicitated Sri B.V.
Kakkilaya on Oct 25, 2006 for his contribution to Tulu
language, its literature and Karnataka Ekikarana movement.
He was
felicitated by veteran Kannada writer Sri B.M. Idinabba. Sri
Seetharam Kulal, President of Tulu Sahitya Academy presided.

Idinabba recalled the 'most inspiring' speeches of Sri B.V.
Kakkilaya in Tulu during the freedom movement and
thereafter.
