ಕಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲಾಯರು ತೊಂಭತ್ತರ ಹರೆಯಕ್ಕೆ
ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, 2008ರ ಮೇ 30 ಮತ್ತು ಜೂನ್ 1ರಂದು,
ಅವರ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನೆಂಟರಿಷ್ಟರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸೇರಿ
ವಿನೂತನವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವೊಂದನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಭಾರತ
ಕಮ್ಯೂನಿಸ್ಟ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಿ, ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ
ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರಾಗಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಏಕೀಕರಣ ಚಳುವಳಿಯ
ರೂವಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲೊಬ್ಬರಾಗಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯಸಭೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ
ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆಗಳ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ
ಕಳೆದ 70 ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ.ವಿ. ಕಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲಾಯರ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು
ಮತ್ತು ಜನಪರ ಹೋರಾಟಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ
ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಪ್ರಸಕ್ತ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ
ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದಿನ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಮುಂದಿರುವ ಸವಾಲುಗಳ ಬಗೆಗೆ
ಇಂದಿನ
ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂವಾದವೆನ್ನುವಂತೆ
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು .ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಎಂ.ಎಸ್.
ಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ ಸ್ಮರಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ,
'ಹೊಸತು'
ಮಾಸ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ,
ಹಾಗೂ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ
ಸಮದರ್ಶಿ ವೇದಿಕ
ಮತ್ತು ಕಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲಾಯರ ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ
ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಚಿಂತಕರು,
ಬರಹಗಾರರು, ಇತಿಹಾಸಜ್ಞರು,
ಭಾರತ ಕಮ್ಯೂನಿಸ್ಟ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಯಕರುಗಳು ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ
ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲೂ
ವಿಚಾರಪ್ರದವಾದ ಭಾಷಣಗಳೂ, ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳೂ ನಡೆದವು, ಶ್ರೀ
ಕಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲಾಯರೂ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ
ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಮುನ್ನಾದಿನ, ಮೇ 30ರಂದು, ಕಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲಾಯರ
ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ದುಡಿದ ಸಂಗಾತಿಗಳ
ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
On the occasion of Sri B.V. Kakkilaya
turning 90 years, a
unique felicitation programme titled 'Kakkilaya 90: Dialogue with the New
Generation' was organised from May 30-June 1, 2008
at Mangalore. As a tribute to his 70 years of struggle with the masses and his
services as a freedom fighter, leader of the Communist Party of India, leader of
the Karnataka Unification Movement, Member of Rajya Sabha and Karnataka
Legislative Assembly etc., the programme included lectures and discussions on
various topics such as India's strugghle for freedom, communalism, Kannada
literature and emancipation of women. Renowned thinkers, writers, historians,
and leaders of the Communist Party were the resource persons for the thought
provoking lectures and discussions thereafter. Sri Kakkilaya participated in all
the deliberations very enthusiastically. Get togethers of family members and
comrades of Sri Kakkilaya were also held on May 30th.
