Lalitha
was the eldest daughter. Fondly
called 'Lalli', she was a very popular medical practitioner in Kasaragod. With her doctor
husband, she owned the Prashanthi Nursing Home in the heart of Kasaragod. Lalitha
was also
well known for her literary activities and wrote many books, the novel 'Aparajitha'
being one among them. She was the first President of the Kasaragod chapter of Kannada Sahitya
Parishad. She passed away after a brief illness in February 2005. The couple have one son, Vijaya Sai who is now
a medical officer. |

Prabha
has recently retired as a Senior Professor of
Obstetrics and Gynaecology after a glorious teaching career at Christian Medical College, Vellore, in Australia, and at
St. John's Medical College, Bangalore. Dr.
Jayaraj is now working as a Senior Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at
Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore after working in prestigious institutes in Vellore and
Australia. Their daughter Sandhya is a MA BEd in special education and
learning disabilities from Columbia University. She is married to Shanker,
an engineer and MBA, now working as General Manager at South African
Shipping Corporation in Tanzania |

Vishnu Kakkilaya and Sathyavathi |
|
Vishnu Kakkilaya is a mechanical
engineer and owns a fabrication factory at Vidyanagar, Kasaragod. He is the Vice President
of Kerala State Small Scale Industrialists' Association. He is fondly called as
'Jinna'
(supposedly so named for his stubbornness as a child!). His wife Satya is a Gold Medal
winning graduate in Botany. The couple have a son, Shridhara and a daughter, Divya.

Usha and Rajagopal Rao |

Usha was a graduate in Science and she
married Rajagopal Rao of the renowned Das family of Kuthethoor near
Mangalore. He is a chartered accountant, now retired and settled in U.S.A. The couple have three daughters, Maithili
(done MA),
Maya (done MD) and Meera (done BSc BEd). Usha died
after a brief illness. |
Aruna and Ramesh |

Aruna is a science graduate and Ramesh
is an engineer. Ramesh worked as senior engineer in Indian Railways and
Director in Railway Board. He is now working as Chief Engineer in an
overseas company at Sharjah. Aruna worked as a teacher in Delhi and as
a regular Kannada News Reader at All India Radio, New Delhi. The couple have two sons, Madhukar and Prashanth.
Madhukar is a BTech, MBA working in Ahmedabad, his wife Mayuki is a MBA.
Prashanth is an engineer working in Dallas and his wife Shilpa is a
chartered accountant also working in Dallas. |

Sudha is also a graduate in Science. Her
husband is a well known advocate in Kundapur, an active member of Dakshina Kannada
Sahithya Parishad, a journalist of repute, past district governor of Rotary and is well known for his oratorial skills. The
couple have two sons and a daughter - Raghunandan, Shrivatsa and Swathi.
Raghunandan is working in the US, Shrivatsa is a practicing lawyer in
Kundapur and Swathi is a MA in English and married to Prakash, an electrical
engineer working in Dubai. |

Dr. Subraya Kakkilaya is
a very popular medical practitioner in Mandya and owns the Prashanth Nursing Home as well
as Mandya Diagnostic Centre at Mandya near Mysore. He is a very good painter too. His wife
Pushpa is a graduate and is an efficient administrator of the hospital. The couple have a
son, Harish who is also now a medical graduate. Thier daughter, Megha, is a keen student of
Bharathanatyam and has won many laurels; she is now studying journalism. |

Meena is a
post-graduate and
worked as an officer at
Karnataka Bank. Her husband is now Chief Executive in Avasarala
Automobiles in Bangalore. The couple
have a son, Hemanth. |

language and is a well known English teacher at Karkal. Her husband is a popular advocate
in Karkal. The couple have a son and a daughter, Ashwin, a computer engineer
and Madhuja, a student of medicine. |

Shashikala is science graduate and is an
officer at Karnataka Bank, Kasaragod. Her husband is a renowned anaesthesiologist in
Kasaragod. The couple have two sons, Gautam, who is studying medicine and Rahul who
is in junior college. |

Tara is a Chartered Accountant and is
working in Bangalore along with her husband who is also a chartered accountant. The couple
have a son, Deepak |

The youngest daughter Amritha
lived in
Kasaragod with her mother and elder brother Vishnu. She passed away on the
20th of June 2002at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal. |
